Sastra University is a reputed and renowned university. It has, due to its location, lots of industrial benefits and attracts many named and big brands for placements in it. 8 CGPA is quite good and the least for even the top companies visiting there. Since it is the criteria and preference can be given to those ( during interview ) who has more CGPA. Also, it depends upon the company as some may have criteria for less than 8.0 also. There is no such boundation from the university side for it.
