There is no quota, however students who got more than 85% in their 12th exams get 50,000 off in the second year. 60% is the admissions criterion. or above in the 12th grade boards You are given an appointment during which admission authorities will provide you with all of the necessary information.

Admission to MSc programs in biotechnology or bioinformatics is often based on a mix of factors such as academic achievement, entrance examinations (if relevant), and occasionally interviews. While a strong academic record is essential, other considerations like as success in entrance examinations and interviews may also be considered.

Final selection to PhD programme is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by conducted by DY Patil (Deemed-to-be) University.

 The selection criteria of MSc programme at School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, D Y Patil (Deemed-to-be) is as follows:

  • Admission to MSc (all specialisations) is based on scores obtained in the last qualifying examination
  • Candidates must have graduation in the relevant discipline or as stated by the School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
  • Final admission to Integrated MSc (Biotechnology) is based on merit in the last qualifying examination.
