There is no right to a reimbursement of service paid if a student departs SDE, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore before the end of their course. Only the debit or credit card used for the initial transaction will be refunded, if appropriate, at the management's discretion.

The application fee is Rs 150. However, students from states other than Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Union Territory of Pondicherry have to pay an additional amount of Rs 750.

The total fee for the BCA programme at the School of Distance Education, Bharathiar University is INR 16,343 for one year.
The following are the steps for the selection process:
- Candidates must have completed their bachelor's degree or two-year Diploma approved by NCTE to be eligible for the BCA program
- Once the application form is submitted, the university will release a merit list based on the eligibility criteria and the percentage scored by the candidates in the qualifying examination
- Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and are selected in the merit list will be offered admission to the BCA programme at the School of Distance
