There is no mention of a hostel fees for BSc (Hons) students of JSJC either on its website or the brochure. However, the students are charged an accomodation fees which costs INR 9.24 lakh, paid in four equal instalments.

Since no other fee type resembles the hostel fees therefore it is being assumed that the accomodation fees is the hostel fees charged by JSJC.

The documents required at the time of admissions to the Jindal School of Journalism and Communication BSc (Hons) course have been mentioned below:

Class 10 and Class 12 passing certificate and marksheets

Entrance exam scorecard

Two passport sized photographs

Migration certificate

Birth certificate

During the document verification process, candidates need to present the physical copies of the aforementioned documents.

All stages of Jindal School of Journalism and Communication BSc (Hons) admission process is conducted in online mode including the entrance exams and personal interview round. Candidates will need to contact an admission manager at Jindal School of Journalism and Communication to confirm the existance of an offline mode of application for the BSc (Hons) admissions.

There is no mention of Jindal School of Journalism and Communication accepting applications from candidates who are yet to receive their Class 12 board exam result.

Thus, candidates should assume that they cannot apply for BSc (Hons) admissions at JSJC until they receive the scores of the Class 12 board exams.

No, the BA (Hons) admissions are not open to direct admission of candidates at Jindal School of Journalism and Communication. Every candidate is evaluated first on the basis of the set eligibility and selection criteria for the BA (Hons) course. The tuition fees for all BA (hons) course offered by Jindal School of Journalism and Communication is the same. In 2026, the total tuition fee for all BA (hons) courses is INR 16 lakh. Candidates are charged the tuition fee on per annum basis.

Yes, Jindal School of Journalism and Communication offers scholarships to the UG programmes. The institute awards Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (MCM) to meritorious students every year. The MCM Scholarship covers the tuition fee only. The eligibility criteria includes annual family income, XII board score, JSAT or standardized examination results and faculty interview score.

Yes, the PhD admissions at Jindal School of Journalism and Communication are open for the academic year 2026. The first session of Jindal School of Journalism and Communication PhD admission is open. The exact deadline for applications is yet to be revealed however, the admissions are scheduled to close near the end of January for the first session.

The course offers admission to 60 students. The total tuition fee for Jindal School of Journalism and Communication B.A. (Hons.) in Journalism and Media Studies is INR 14.00 Lakh.
