The candidates can choose preferred electives in the first and second semester of the course. In the first semester, one elective has to be selected. While in the second semester, candidates can choose four electives. Some of the electives included in UPES School of Law LLM Environmental Law and Policy curriculum are:
First Semester:

UPES law school offers admission to its LLM programme on entrance score basis. The accepted exams are ULSAT-LLM/CUET/CLAT-PG. Candidates who have passed Class 10, Class 12, and bachelor's degree from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate. The eligible candidates can proceed with the application formalities. Applications are accepted in online mode. After application scanning and selection based on exam score, the final selection is done. These selected candidates can submit the admission fee amount to confirm their seat.

There are a total of 240 seats for the BA LLB (Hons) programme. Candidates are admitted as per the sanctioned seat intake. UPES shall reserve the right to revise the seat count. The university fill seats up to 20% through the Board Merit/CLAT AIR/UL-SAT India Category. If seats are left vacant, then those can be filled through ULSAT. It must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

The curriculum of the UPES School of Law BA LLB (H) course include core and elective subjects. It is a five-year course divided into 10 semesters. Each of the course semester has a list of subjects in it. In the first three years, the syllabus is for BA and in the next two years is of LLB course. Some of the subjects included in the course curriculum are:
- Poverty and Indian Agriculture
- Economics of Public Policy
- Indian Economy
- Introduction to Public Economics
- Economics of Crime
- Energy Economics, etc.

For admission to BA LLB (Hons) course, aspirants must first check the minimum eligibility requirements. The eligible candidates can apply for ULSAT exam conducted by the university. Aspirants can apply for admission with a valid score of CLAT/LSAT as well, however, the score must meet the university requirements. Further, candidates with 75% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 are also exempted from ULSAT.
The school further may release a merit list or inform selected candidates through any other means. Selected candidates can further pay the admission fee amount to confirm their seat.
