SEC ensures that hostel food is nutritious, hygienic, and student-approved. The mess offers a balanced menu that blends taste with health featuring South Indian staples, occasional North Indian dishes, and special treats on festivals. Meals are prepared in clean kitchens and served on time, with feedback from students taken seriously. There's also a focus on seasonal ingredients and dietary preferences. While it's not gourmet, it's warm, homely, and reliable because at SEC, your comfort and well-being are as important as your grades.

Yes, you can! While most students are admitted through TNEA, SEC also offers a direct admission route through the management quota. This means that even if you missed the centralized counseling or are from another state, you still have a shot. The admissions team is approachable and ensures the process is simple and supportive. All you need is a qualifying mark in your 10+2 exams with the right subjects, and a dream to build a brighter future. At SEC, there's always a way forward for dedicated learners.

SEC follows a transparent and merit-based selection process for B.E./B.Tech programs. If you've completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Math, you're already on track! Most students apply through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) process, where your Class 12 marks determine your eligibility. However, SEC also considers management quota seats for students who might have missed the counseling window. More than marks alone, what SEC looks for is your passion for engineering and your readiness to learn. It's not just about admission it's about welcoming future innovators with open arms.

At Surya Engineering College, the faculty is excellent. The majority hold an M.E. (Master of Engineering) degree and have taught for over 8 years, which improves their ability to instruct. Just two or three educators have doctorates in their disciplines. They are very beneficial to students' professional development.
