Can more than one course be applied for in a round? Or the 2nd course should be applied for in a later round in case of 1st choice failure?

Yes, you can apply for more than one course in the same counselling round by listing them in order of your preference. If you get a seat that's not your first choice, you can choose to wait for the next round for a better option. Just make sure to update your preferences before each round.
