The last date to apply for SMEAT M.Des Round 2 for the year 2025 is May 17, 2025. The application began from April 01, 2025. The last date to submit the application including SOPs and EOC is May 17, 2025.

To participate in the SMEAT 2026 seat allotment process, the candidate must have qualified in the exam. You need to check your qualifying status in the SMEAT scorecard.

The seat allotment to various design courses offered by Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will be based on:

  • SMEAT 2026 merit rank of the candidate 

  • The seat intake 

  • Options selected for admission

The application fee for SMEAT exam is INR 5,000. Also, for every additonal course, the candidate has to pay another INR 1,000. The fee has to be paid online. In case the application fee isn't paid, the application form will be considered incomplete.

Application process for SMEAT 2026 is open now. Candidates who meet prescribed eligibility criteria can apply before last date. Last date to apply for SMEAT is March 15, 2026.

SMEAT is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology. For the current academic session, the entrance exam has three admission rounds. Note that for each round, the application process will be conducted separately. 

The 1st round of admission process is currently over. The application form for Round I was open from January 10 to March 27, 2024. The entrance exam was conducted from April 6-7, 2024.

According to students, SMEAT exam is in the range of average, which is neither too easy and nor too tough. The candidate, however, has to know the syllabus and its core subjects thoroughly in order to score well.

Candidates appearing for SMEAT can also appear in other popular private entrance exams like MITID DAT, Pearl Academy, and FDDI AIST.

There are then the top-tier entrance exams like NIFT, NID, and UCEED.

Yes, Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology offer one-year PG Diploma course. The PGDP programme allows the individual to choose among two course offerings, the Bridge and the Finish, each of which have been designed to align to different levels of learning.

The SMEAT 2026 exam for Round I will be conducted around the 1st week of April 2026. The application form will open in January 2026 (tentative).

The seat allocation process at NIT Sikkim is done through the National entrance level exams. As the admission is entirely based on the entry level exams like any other NITs. The seat allocation for the M.Tech is done through allocated through the CCMT counselling, prior candidates are to appear for the GATE exams.
