Sikkim Manipal University cutoff for different BTech courses based on MET scores is followed by round-wise counselling. Candidates planning to be admitted to BTech at the University must have a valid score in the MET exam. To get admission into SMIT Sikkim, first check the eligibility criteria for your desired course because some of the admissions are based on merit and others entrance-based. Apply online through the official website of Sikkim Manipal University. The applications are usually opened in November. Candidates are shortlisted based on scores obtained in national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, NET, CAT, or MAT. For those candidates who do not have scores from such exams, SMIT conducts its entrance exam. In addition to GDPI, an MBA aspirant has to go through Group Discussion and Personal Interview. No, SMIT Sikkim does not have any provision for direct admissions. The admission to SMIT courses is either merit-based or entrance-based. For merit-based courses, the institute shortlists candidates based on their merit secured in the qualifying exam.
SMIT Sikkim accepts various national-level entrance exam scores to shortlist candidates for entrance-based courses. Also, SMIT conducts its own entrance exam for those who have not appeared for any national-level entrance exam.

The authorities release SMIT 2026 results in the form of a rank list a few days after the exam is over. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores and rank through the SMIT result. It is to be noted that the authorities will not use any other methods, such as post or fax, to declare the result of SMIT 2026.

You have to check it on their official website for Admission Cutoff Through SMIT Online Admission Test. JEE Mains cutoff is not available now for students. The SMIT Sikkim cutoff 2023 has not been released yet, and the information available is from previous years. The cutoff ranks for B.Tech and MET courses in the year 2022 ranged from 35047 to 48178. You have to contact with admission cell of the college for any new updates. You can always check shiksha.com for detailed information.

Yes a student can apply and get admission in SMIT Sikkim with 60% marks in class 12th, as the minimum marks for admission is 45% in 12th.

To get admission into SMIT Sikkim, the minimum percentage required in class 12th is 40. So, yes you can join SMIT, Sikkim 70% in class 12th.
For some UG courses admission is merit-based. However, some courses like B. Tech, BCA, MBA, etc. require an entrance exam score. The accepted exams are SMIT Online Test/JEE Main/MET/GATE/AIAPGET.
