Sikkim Manipal University admission 2025 is open for both merit and entrance-based. For admission to some courses, the university conducts separate entrance tests, and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to evaluate the candidates. In contrast, for others, the admission is purely based on the merit of the candidates. SMU also offers courses through its distance learning.

Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok offers admission to courses such as MBA on the basis of entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ University Entrance Exam or other equivalent national level examinations valid for the admission to MBA. Candidates must meet the cutoff criteria by securing valid scores in the selected entrance exam and qualify for the group discussion and personal interview. After qualifying all the rounds, candidates will be shortlisted for the final admission. Candidates can apply for the admission to SMU Gangtok by filling out the application form on the official website of the University.

Sikkim Manipal University has already begun its admission for the academic year 2025 for various courses. The application portal for the BSc course was open on November 15, 2024, and the last date to apply for the course (BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Applied Psychology) is June 10, 2025. Further, the BSc in Nursing application submission deadline is July 15, 2025, and July 25, 2025, is the last date for the BSc in Medical Biotechnology.
