According to a 2021 NIRF report, 94 out of 122 BArch and MArch students were placed during SPA Bhopal's 2020 placements. The median package offered to BArch students was INR 2.40 LPA, and the median package offered to MArch students was INR 5.10 LPA. 

According to IE Education, the median salary offered to Bachelor of Architecture candidates in 2021 was INR 5 LPA.

The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) in Bhopal accepts GATE scores for admission to M.Arch and MPlan programs. Candidates must also clear the CCMT exam. 

SPA Bhopal also accepts CEED scores for MDes admissions. 

Candidates must also meet the following eligibility criteria:

Have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS and 55% marks for SC/ST/PWD

Meet the cut off criteria for the counselling entrance test conducted by NTA 

SPA Bhopal does not accept NATA scores.

The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) in Bhopal requires a minimum of 50% in class 12th to be eligible for the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program. However, admission to the B.Arch and Bachelor of Planning (BPlan) programs is based on the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA). Students must also meet the basic requirements of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). 

For the 2022 academic year, the SPA Bhopal cut off for the general category was 539th rank for the opening rank and 387th rank for the closing rank. For SC, the opening rank was 478th and the closing rank was 247th.

The selection process for B.Arch is based on scores from either JEE Main or NATA. 
 
To be eligible for B.Arch admission, students must:
  • Have completed class 12 with a minimum of 50% score in PCM subjects from a recognised board
  • Pass 10+2 or equivalent examinations with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate 
     
A score of above 250 out of 400 marks in JEE Main Paper 2 is considered a good score for B.Arch admission. A score of above 300 can secure the chance of admission at various NITs and GFTIs offering B.Arch courses.

In 2023, B.Arch. has been the most competitive specialization with a closing rank of 345. JEE Main Last Round Closing Rank for General-All India in the year 2023 was 378. Overall, for B.Arch the average ranking could be considered as 345 - 378. The students are advised to score higher than this, as it is possible to see an increase of 10% in the 2024 cut-off.

The minimum cutoff for M.Arch at SPA Bhopal for 2023 is 60% for General, OBC, and EWS-category students. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum cutoff is 55%. The 2023 JEE Main cutoff for the general category is expected to be 724th rank. For OBC students, the cutoff is expected to be 445th rank.
