To prepare for the SMAT exam, a maximum of 2-3 months will be required, if one is completely unfamiliar with the syllabus. Those who are familiar with Quantitative Analysis, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability, can prepare for the exam in lesser time.

Yes, the SMAT exam is MCQ type. Every question carries 4 answer options. Candidates have to choose only one option to mark as correct answer.

SMAT is an easy exam and not must time is required to prepare for it. Candidates can prepare for it at home with the help of sample papers provided by the university. They should refer to recommended books on Quantitative Analysis, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Sports Awareness.

Candidates cannot appear for multiple SMAT sessions with single registration. The exam is conducted phase wise so does the registration. If one wishes to appear for the exam more than one time then they will have to register for the session specific exam. The SMAT registration fee is INR 1800.

SMAT exam is conducted in multiple phases. Candidates can appear for the exam in the session of their choice. If they are not happy with their score, they can reappear in next session by registering again.

For admission to SNU MBA programme, an entrance exam score is mandatory. If a candidate wishes to not appear for SMAT, the university's own entrance test, then they can apply through CAT/XAT/NMAT/GATE/ GRE/GMAT exam score. Only then their application will be accepted for admission.

SMAT is an easy exam. There is no pressure to score a high percentile as well. The SMAT cut off is usually around 60-70 percentile. Questions from VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude are easy in nature and not complicated. SMAT exam does not have negative marking or sectional time limit so there is no added pressure. One can easily solve 60 questions in 90 minutes.
