Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology Eligibility

Candidates willing to pursue MD at SCTIMST Trivandrum must be eligible as per the age criteria specified by the institute. To be eligible for MD admission, candidates must not be over forty years of age (as of January 1, 2025, for the January session and July 1, 2025, for the July session). However, for SC/ST candidates,   the upper age limit may be relaxed by a maximum of 5 years. The relaxation provided to other categories is as follows:

• The upper age limit may be relaxed by a maximum of 5 years for ex-service personnel with service of not less than five years
• The upper age limit may be relaxed for OBC candidates by a maximum of 3 years
• The upper age limit for the sponsored candidates is 50 years

SCTIMST Trivandrum has specified the following eligibility criteria for admission to its MD course:

• The candidate must have completed MBBS or an equivalent degree from a recognised university (Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission), with a one-year compulsory rotatory internship from a medical college of repute
• The candidates must have completed the requisite degree by Jan 31, 2025, for the January session and July 31, 2025 for the July session
• The candidate should have applied for and obtained registration with KSMC/TCMC at the time of admission
• The candidates must not be over forty years of age (as of January 1, 2025, for the January session and July 1, 2025, for the July session) (the upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, etc. categories)
