Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Kanchipuram has the below criteria for taking admissions to its various courses. Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology/ B.Sc. in Mathematics from a recognized board with minimum 55% marks (50% for Backward class, 45% for most Backward class and Denotified community and just pass for SC/ ST/ SCA.M.E./M.Tech. Candidates who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible.
AMIE candidates must have 2 years of regular full-time experience in the relevant field.

UG (B.Tech) admissions are conducted through the common entrance test (EAPCET) by the Andhra Pradesh state government. While 70% of the seats allotted are based on merit in EAPCET, 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management Quota. In addition, the Engineering Diploma holders, based on their merit at ECET (FDH), are admitted into Lateral Entry (II year B.Tech Courses) to the tune of 20% of the total intake.
