The Staff Selection Commission fixes the age cutoff date for the SSC CHSL exam and mentions it on the official notification every year. As per the SSC CHSL notification 2025, the age cutoff date for the exam this year was January 1, 2026.

Hi there, The SSC CHSL age limit for the posts has been set at a minimum 18 years and a maximum of 27 years. The minimum educational criteria to write the SSC CHSL exam is to have passed the 12ths standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised university board. According to SSC CHSL eligibility criteria, candidates applying for the exam must be 18 years to 27 years and have passed 10+2/HSC.
