The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC Stenographer result 2025 on its portal - ssc.gov.in. The Commission also released the SSC Stenographer Cutoff with the result. The Commission selected 8,624 candidates for the post of Stenographer Grade 'C' and 22456 candidates for Stenographer Grade 'D'.

There is no facility to recheck the SSC Stenographer result. The result announced by the examination authority is considered final. SSC Steno result is prepared based on the final answer key.

SSC Stenographer result 2025 for CBT was released at ssc.gov.in on November 18. The result PDF is available here. SSC Steno result PDF has the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Based on the CBT result, candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test.

The mode of selection is given below:
- Based on the marks of CBE, candidates are selected category-wise to appear for the Skill Test
- The skill test is mandatory and qualifying in nature
- Candidates who qualify the skill test are considered for final selection on the basis of their merit in the CBE
- Final selection and allocation of ministries/departments are made on the basis of their performance in the CBE and preferences of posts/departments given at the time of document verification
- The final allotment is done on the basis of merit-cum-preferences

SSC Stenographer marks are done based on normalisation. This process is done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. Normalisation is done to adjust the difficulty level of questions asked in the exam.

In case more than one candidate secures equal aggregate marks in computer-based exam, tie is resolved by applying following method: Marks in Part-I i.e. General Intelligence & Reasoning, Marks in Part-II i.e. General Awareness, Date of birth, older candidates will be placed higher, Alphabetical order in which names of candidates appear
