SSC Stenographer Result

There is no facility to recheck the SSC Stenographer result. The result announced by the examination authority is considered final. SSC Steno result is prepared based on the final answer key.

SSC Stenographer result 2025 for CBT is expected to be announced soon. The result will be made available in PDF form. SSC Steno result PDF comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Based on the CBT result, candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test.

The mode of selection is given below:

• Based on the marks of CBE, candidates are selected category-wise to appear for the Skill Test
• The skill test is mandatory and qualifying in nature
• Candidates who qualify the skill test are considered for final selection on the basis of their merit in the CBE
• Final selection and allocation of ministries/departments are made on the basis of their performance in the CBE and preferences of posts/departments given at the time of document verification
• The final allotment is done on the basis of merit-cum-preferences

Candidates should keep the following documents ready:

• 10th and 12th Mark Sheets

• Valid Photo ID Proof (e.g., Aadhaar, Voter ID)

• Educational Certificates

• Caste/Category Certificates (if applicable)

• Printout of the SSC Application Form

SSC calculates the scores of candidates based on the normalisation procedure. This method is followed to adjust the difficulty level of question papers since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. 

SSC Stenographer scores are calculated in the following manner:

• For the correct answer, candidates are awarded one mark
• There is a negative marking for wrong answers, 0.25 marks are deducted for incorrect answers
• The scores of candidates are calculated based on correct and incorrect answers
•  

In the case where more than one candidate secures equal aggregate marks in the computer-based exam, the tie is resolved by applying the following method:

• Marks in Part-I (i.e. General Intelligence & Reasoning)
• Marks in Part-II (i.e. General Awareness)
• Date of birth, older candidates will be placed higher
• Alphabetical order in which names of the candidates appear

Candidates who have qualified in the Skill Test will be called for Document Verification (DV). Final appointments will be made post DV, based on merit and submitted preferences

SSC Stenographer result PDF comprises the following details:

• Names and roll numbers of qualified candidates.

• Category-wise cut-off marks.

• Instructions for the next stage, i.e., Document Verification.

• Visit the official SSC website

• Navigate to the “Results” section.

• Click on the “Steno 'C' & 'D'” tab.

• Download the result PDF for Grade C or Grade D

• Open the PDF and use “Ctrl+F” to search for your Name or Roll Number
