There is an entrance-based admission process for all Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University courses at the UG level, PG level, and research level.Candidates for UG courses must pass the state-level entrance examination, the AP EAMCET.As part of the PhD application process, candidates are also required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI). So admissions to Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University is based on entrance followed by PI which is mandatory for the students.

The placements of sri venkateshwara veterinary university for their students in a recent placement drive was 25 students from B.Tech in Dairy Technology were placed with average package of INR 2.40 LPA. Apart from this, the placement cell is also active for students to ensure good placement for Diploma students as well. According to the students of University, the highest salary package was INR 9 LPA in their placement while the lowest salary package was INR 4 LPA.

For Under Graduate courses, students need to clear the state-level entrance examination. The students must give the examination of NEET to secure a seat. For OBC category the cutoff would be around 450, 380 for SC category, 320 for ST category.
