Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University offers various Undergraduate (UG) programs with a basic criteria of 50 percent in 10+2 . It provides courses such as B.Sc, B.V.Sc and B.Tech and various Postgraduate (PG) programs  also such as M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and M.V.Sc.  It offers various Ph.D programs in different branches of Veterinary, Dairy and Fishery Sciences and selection in all the bachelors’ courses are done on the basis of an entrance examination of Andhra Pradesh called EAMCET.

The placements of Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University for their students in a recent placement drive was - 25 students from B.Tech in Dairy Technology were placed with an average package of INR 2.40 LPA. Apart from this, the placement cell is also active for students to ensure good placement for Diploma students as well. According to the students of the University, the highest salary package was INR 9 LPA in their placement while the lowest salary package was INR 4 LPA.

To be eligible for the M.Tech programme at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), applicants are required to have a minimum of 60% marks in their B.V.Sc. And Animal Health degree from a identified university. Additionally, the eligibility criteria specify OGPA necessities for admission.
