Admission at Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology requires passing 10+2 with PCM and qualifying TS EAMCET or JEE Main. Seats are allotted through Telangana's counseling based on merit and reservation. Candidates must complete document verification and fee payment to confirm admission.

Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
| Courses | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate must have passed Bachelor degree of 3 years duration (Except Oriental Languages) and secured the above mentioned percentage. 45% is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved category. Candidate who are appearing for the final year degree examination are also be eligible. Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program/ Open Distance Learning (ODL) within the jurisdiction of University should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB. |
| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidates who have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. Candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit. |
