The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants seeking admission in Executive PGDM do not require passing an entrance test. The selection is based on performance of the candidates in the personal interview round. For MBA courses, candidates do need to pass SNAP. Selected candidates have to futher pass GEPI round for final admission.

SIBM Pune offers admission to candidates in MBA programmes based on their SNAP scores. Shortlisted aspirants have to further pass GEPI round for final selection. Besides, admission to Executive PGDM programme is based on performance of the candidates in the personal interview round. Once all the selection rounds are over, the institute releases a merit list. SIBM Hyderabad follows seat reservation and other policies related to seats according to the Symbiosis International University, Pune. Above the seat reservation, the college reserves 15% of the total seats for International students, and 2 seats for children of migrants from the J&K valley. To prove these identities, applicants are required to carry certain documents claiming their domicile.

Yes, SIBM Pune has the hostel facility for all its residential programs. SIBM Pune has 3 hostel blocks, namely New, Old, and Annex, for boys and girls students. SIBM Pune hostel accommodation is available with double, triple, and tetra sharing rooms. All the hostel rooms are semi-furnished with a bed, a study table and chair, a wardrobe, etc. The rooms are spacious and airy and have other basic amenities such as fans, electricity, bookshelves, soft boards, etc. For food, the institute has a mess facility that provides meals to the students.

For the batch of 2025-2027, the SIBM Pune hostel fee is INR 143,000  (per annum) for the Master of Business Administration and MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) programs. A refundable amount of INR 20,000 as a hostel deposit is also charged from the students. SIBM Pune mess fee is INR 52,000  (per annum). As per the official website, the hostel fee can be increased up to 15% each year, while the mess fee can be increased up to 10% every year.
