GD: Generally the trend is to have discussions on current topics, which may be legal, finance related, or social issues. In other words, you may prepare by reading newspapers and competitive magazine to study the trend of topics in news. Again, GD/Essay/GK, there is no defined area of preparation, but general awareness helps.

The topic of discussion was "Sub-Prime Crisis in USA and how has it affected India" (If you remember this was a hot topic in 2008 onwards for a long time). Anyway, the discussion lasted for 35-40 minds. We we

Hi there,
University of Mumbai is a good university but it does not have all affiliated colleges which could be said to be good in terms of Law. For instance GLC is a good law college amongst others. However, Symbiosis law school would be a particular choice of college and you can expect a very good career while on campus owing to its good placement opportunities. Also, it has been a known name in terms of law for decades and is much preferred private institute for Law in that region.
So, between the University of Mumbai and Symbiosis Pune the latter would be a good preference prov

The topics that are mostly asked for in the GD and PI at Symbiosis are the contemporary issues i.e. ongoing issues.
For eg., For 2018 interviews topics such as Doklam India China Issue, Rohingya Crisis, India's Foreign Policy, Triple Talaq Judgement, Right To Privacy Judgement, National Anthem Judgement, issues like Gender Equality, LGBT rights and GST are very important.
Basically, during GDs your general awareness is tested.
So, reading newspaper and following burning topics would help you.
Also, the PI is basically opinion based, thus you must have your own conclusions and opinions on topics.
Also, your ideology must be progressive and y

Hey there,
Well, both Symbiosis and Amity University are private institutes and are not very old in order of their establishments.
However, Symbiosis had a better reputation in past while Amity University is equally competing with it.
If you get a choice between these two, I would suggest you choose Symbiosis because it is comparatively an older college and also there have been a number of batches who have graduated and thus placements would be better here.
Also, the visiting faculty members include Mr. Ramjethmalani thus the exposure is better there. The infrastructure is more or less similar, but Amity is a newly established institute and
