This college establishment in 1951 is affiliated to Anna University. As a result all admissions are now based on marks obtained in 12th exam. In addition the college has very high reputation and students prefer this to many other colleges. Due to this cutoffs is very high. But marks scored by students in class 12th show very wide variation and hence I am afraid it is not feasible to quite any figure. Ash! Comparison between SRM and Thapar? Thapar is very old establishment of Punjab and has quite good and unmatched reputation particularly in North India. On the other hand, SRM is comparatively new entrant in this field. However this institution has made its presence felt on all India bases and offers value for money. Being new, has introduced the latest concepts in teaching process etc. Major companies visit both these instructions for placements and CTC offered is comparable. In view of foregoing I would recommend that you should take admission wherever you get.

Your admission in MCC depends on the subject which you want to choose for your post graduate studies. Also, MCC will look for your score at B.Sc level.

According to AIR and placements, IHM Mumbai & IHM Bangalore are best. In IHM Bangalore, faculty members are best they will provide you the best teaching. IHM Chennai is also good after Bangalore and Mumbai.

Apply for NIFT, get good rank and chose preferences of NIFT College near you like Chennai or Bengaluru. You can also apply CEED or NID for M.Des. There is one more college in Chennai which is good-DJ acedemy of art and design.

There is no migration between Universities and Courses. Complete your B.Sc. and then you will be eligible for lateral entry to direct 2nd year. There is no legal way around it.
