Hi Priyanga,
It's not compulsory to give TANCET; if you want to get admission into some of the reputed B-schools in Tamil Nadu then giving this exam is a must. https://www.shiksha.com/mba/exams/tancet-mba

Thiagarajar School of Management staff offers support and ensures that every eligible TANCET applicant who enters copes with syllabus, as other students through TSM quota will have attended some classes. Some extra classes will be added in the evening to cope with the syllabus.

Hello Prabu,
In whatever field we appear, result teaches us something. it gives us feedback. It tells us to pause, think and then only move ahead. With almost 60 percent in B. Tech, you have a reasonable level of competence. Hence, I feel if you push through, there are chances that you will definitely score better in GATE or TANCET. Without hesitation start working towards your goal by achieving better percentile and seat will be yours.

TANCET is not eligible at this year. Yes, scholarships also provided form non TN students but it depends on management. Placement is always good and available for all specialization individually. The total fee will be Rs 260000/- for 2 years.

Scholarship might be based on your performance in GDPI. TANCET cut-off differ from year to year. If your rank is within top 100, you can expect PSGIM as you are general category student.
