Hello Shalu, According to the UGC norms, the candidates who have completed the post graduation degree with more than 55% marks from recognised university can apply for the exam, The UGC NET exam is organized for the selection of candidates for assistant professor and JRF. The minimum eligibility is post graduation. There is no age limit for the lectureship but the candidates must be below 30 years for the JRF. Hello, The UGC NET Exam is conducted in 81 subjects by the National Testing Agency. Out of these 81 subjects, there is a subject "education" in the UGC NET subjects list. So, if you want to appear in the UGC NET Exam then you are suggested to apply for the UGC NET Education subject. Here you can check the pattern of exam -
There will be two papers in exam I. e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam will be held of total 3 hours OF 300 marks. There will be no negative marking. So, this was the pattern of the UGC NET Exam. First you have to appear in UGC NET exam, State level eligibility test (SLET) is another option. Initially you will be appointed as Asst. Professor and than promoted to Associate Professor, To become as Professor you further need to first complete yours Ph.D.

Revise some basic maths concepts of 6 to 8th standard, there are pretty easy questions, but sometimes common sense plays a big role so brush up those rather simple concepts. Knowledge of general English like tense and articles would surely help. Class 12th marks are not important. So, wish you the best of luck and may achieve your targets.

As per the exam guidelines, candidates who have passed post graduation from UGC Approved University and enrolled in Masters' degree can apply for UGC NET exam. As you have done only graduation degree, so you have to enroll in post graduation course firstly then you can appear for the exam.

If you want to pursue it through regular mode then appear for entrance exam which are conducted by various universities such as DU, iPu and many more. And for distance mode, first check your eligibility then apply accordingly.
