The UGC NET exam is organized for assistant professor selection in university and junior research fellow. The CSIR NET exam is also organized for the same purpose. The difference between both exams is that CSIR NET Exam is held for Science stream candidates while UGC NET Exam is held for commerce, arts and other stream candidates. The CSIR NET Exam is held for chemical Science, Physical Science, Mathematical Science, life Science and earth Science. The candidates can apply for their post-graduation subject or its related subjects only. As you have completed the M.Sc. In Biotechnology, you can apply for CSIR NET life Science subject. The other eligibility criteria is as follows:
Educational: You must have a post-graduation degree with more than 55%marks (for general category) from recognized university. Age limit: There is no age limit for assistant professor post but for NET JRF your age must be below 28 years. You are eligible to apply for your PG or its related subjects. To prepare for the exam, your study material must have cover whole syllabus including theory, questions relevant to topics, previous year papers and sample question papers. First of all, collect the basic information regarding the subject like its eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, best books etc. Analyze the complete UGC NET Syllabus and make a preparation strategy. Start the preparation with Paper-1 syllabus because it is simpler than the Paper 2. You must finish it as soon as you can. Make short notes for last time revision. Manage time properly. Give time to the topics according to their importance level. Solve previous years question papers and practice online mock test papers. Be positive, be hopeful and be confident.
