According to the NTA guidelines, aspirants have to choose the same or the related subject in which they have completed their post-graduation. As you have completed your post-graduation in sustainable energy, you are eligible to appear in the UGC NET Environmental Science and the code no. Is 89. But, it is not the only eligibility criteria to appear in the UGC NET there are some other also, which I am sharing below:
The Age limit for the UGC NET Exam is divided into two criteria;
JRF: 30 years is the maximum age limit and 3-5 years age relaxation is given to the category candidates. Assistant professor: There is no age limit. The qualification criteria, to appear in the UGC NET Exam you must have qualified or qualifying your Post-Graduation with minimum 55% for General category or 50% for OBC/SC/ST/ Transgender category candidate.
