Candidates can crack or clear the UGC NET exam in first attempt with regularity, dedication, hard work, proper study plan, etc. He or she should also solve previous year papers and give mock test.

The NTA released the UGC NET 2026 notification for the June session on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. All the important dates related to the exam like application form start date and all is mentioned in the notification. It is advised to the candidates to read the notification carefully before applying for the exam.

The NTA released the UGC NET notification on April 29, 2026. It was announced in the form of PDF at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The notification or information brochure consists the details about the exam including the registration form, exam duration, pattern, etc.

In graduation or PG, securing at least 50% aggregate marks. For reserved categories viz., SC/ST/BC and other, 40% marks is required in the qualifying examination

Candidates with BA/BSc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects, B.E/B.Tech. with Mathematics and BCA candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as a group subject.

The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1 st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit

Candidates should begin their preparations by going through the TSTET syllabus. It is also necessary to understand the structure of the exam. Candidates must revise regularly for the exam. 

The regular BEd is for 2 years whereas the integrated courses like BA BEd, BSc BEd are for 4 years.
