SMAT is conducted multiple times in a year. It is conducted every month and the monthly schedule is released at IISM website. Candidates can choose to appear for SMAT in the month of their choice and when they are completely prepared for the test.

The assessment consists of two class tests of 20 marks each. The first class test is to be conducted when approx. 40% syllabus is completed and second class test when additional 35% syllabus is completed. Duration of each test shall be one hour.

Candidates can choose upto three SET test cities according to their preference. Candidates must very carefully select the cities as once the SET application form is submitted, they can't change city preference. They should choose the first city of preference as their hometome or where they are residing as the exam authorities will likely allot the test centres to candidates in their first city of preference. Candidates are allotted a test centre in second or third preference only if the seats have been filled or the exam centre has been cancelled at that location. The university will notify Woxsen Aptiude Test dates to registered candidate via email. The exam dates will be shared with only those candidates whose application forms will be accepted. For that, candidates need to fill out the form with the correct information and pay the fee before the deadline.

The university offers admissions to various courses such as MA (foreign languages), BFA, MFA, MIRM, MHRM, MSc, BVoc, PGD Business Management, MCom, etc. through Departmental Tests i.e. candidates have to apply and appear for the test conducted by the concerned faculty. In some of the courses offered by the faculty members of AMU, there will be no admission test/ departmental test. The admissions for these courses will be based solely on qualifying examinations. The concerned department/faculty will share the qualifying examination and admission criteria with the applicants only.

The pyschological tests in NDA SSB interview comprises the following:
Thematic Apperception Test: This is similar to the picture test and is hard and intense.
Word Association Test: This is similar to a picture test, but the pictures are replaced by words
Situation Reaction Test: In this test, candidates will be presented with some situations and then you have to write about your responses to these situations.
Self Description Test: In this test, candidates have to talk about themselves, personal life, etc.
