Candidates are first required to apply for their preferred course in the institute. TGC Animation and Multimedia shortlists candidates for BSc and MSc based on online test conducted by the institute. The question paper shall include questions on aptitude, GK/ current affairs, and knowledge of media and entertainment. Besides, admission is merit-based for all other courses.

Yes, TGC Animation and Multimedia offers scholarship to the students belonging to economically weaker backgrounds. TCG facilitate these scholarships through its "IT for Development" department, which is a non-profit making wing of the TGC private limited. TGC Animation and Multimedia scholarship scheme covers 50%-75% of tuition fee and study material along with paid internship options with TGC.

To get in TGC Animation and Multimedia BSc course, the students have to take the entrance exam conducted in online mode by TGC. As per the official brochure, the question paper include questions on aptitude, GK/current affairs, and knowledge of media and entertainment.
Apart from this, it is also necessary that the aspirants meet the eligibility requirements. The seats are further allotted to the shortlisted candidates based on exam scores.
