Admissions are entirely merit-based at TGC Animation & Multimedia. The college does not accept any entrance exam for admission to UG and PG courses. Candidates are offered direct admission based on their merit obtained in the last qualifying exam of Class 12/ graduation.

Candidates willing to take admission to a full-time PG level MVoc course at TGC Animation and Multimedia must fulfil the basic eligibility requirement of the programme at the time of admission. Candidates need to pass graduation from a recognised university to be eligible for admission.

TGC Animation & Multimedia admission to BVoc course is completely merit-based. Candidates are admitted based on their past academic merit obtained in Class 12. Students need to pass Class 12 from a recognised board in the relevant stream to be eligible for admission.
