No A.M.E. is not a Diploma. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering A.M.E. Is a license based course that is approved by the DGCA. A.M.E. Is a 4-year license based course 2-year academic and 2-year practical training programme in the reputed flying environment.

At the Bombay Flying club you can get a combined course of CPL which is a license course and B.Sc. In aviation which is a degree course affiliated to Mumbai university. The total fees including flying hours, ground training, classroom lectures, DGCA exams and mumbai university fees may go upto 25 lacs or more depending upon number of attempts you require to clear the DGCA exams.
