The Gandhigram Rural Institute

Gandhigram University BCom course admission is based on the CUET scores. To apply for the BCom programme, candidates are required to appear in the CUET, counselling process and seat allocation process. Gandhigram University admission 2024-25 for the BCom programme is through CUET and, candidates who meet the CUET Cutoffs are called to appear for the counselling process.

Gandhigram University BCom Co-operation curriculum consists of three academic years with six semesters. The programme is offered under the Choice Based Credit system (CBCS) pattern and it consists of following courses:

• Core Courses
• Discipline Centric Electives
• Generic Electives 
• Language Courses

The total seat intake for the BCom programme offered at Gandhigram Rural Institute is 50. Admission to the BCom programme will be made subject to the reservation policy of the Government of India/ UGC Norms.

Gandhigram University provides an opportunity for the BCom programme students to apply for various scholarships. The eligible SC, ST, OBC and, PwD category students can avail the Central Sector Scholarship through the respective State Government. Gandhigram Rural Institute BCom scholarships also include remittance of tuition fees for SC/ ST/ SCC and, PwD category students.

The Gandhigram Rural Institute campus is spread across over 200 acre of land. The university students are provided health services by the Kasturba Hospital from Chinnalapatti. The campus is big and equipped with all the modern facilities. The students prefer a comfortable stay and the university is known to provide same to students. The vibrant campus gives admission to diverse students without any discrimination. 

The Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University has separate hostels for both girls and boys. The hostels are provided with facilities for entertainment, dining, in-door games and internet browsing. The common amenities in hostels include health centres, fitness centre, gym, and cooperative stores that are located close to the hostels. The university tries to provide comfortable stay to students. 

The Gandhigram Rural Institute arranges several events, seminars, and various fests for students. The university has a computer Centre which was established in 1989. The university even has a Physical Education and Yoga Centre. These centres are helpful in overall development of the students. The student's performance in several events is appreciated by the university.
