LNMIIT is recognised as a university even though it is an ordinary institution. LNMIIT is a self-governing non-profit organisation with its headquarters in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was founded in 2002 as a joint venture by the Lakshmi & Usha Mittal Foundation and the Rajasthani government. Undergraduate, graduate, and research programmes in multiple specialisations are available at LNMIIT.
