LNM Institute of Information Technology founded as a public-private partnership joint venture between the Government of Rajasthan and Lakshmi and Usha Mittal Foundation. LNMIIT Jaipur was granted Deemed-to-be-University status by UGC in 2006 as a De-Novo institution and operates as an autonomous non-profit organisation. It is recognised by AICTE and UGC. According to the India Today ranking 2024, the institute is ranked among the 50 Engineering colleges. NAAC has accredited the institute with a grade 'A'. 

LNM Institute of Information Technology offers full-time engineering programmes, including seven courses  (BTech, BTech (Hons), BTech-MTech Integrated, MTech, MS by Research, MSc and PhD) across six departments and 26 specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical-Mechatronics Engineering, Mathematics, Physics and Humanities and Social Sciences. LNMIIT Jaipur admission is merit-based as well as entrance-based.
