I am not getting why you want to join NIE Mysore. Better you prepare for NIMCET for few months and clear the competitive exam. Based on your score, you will get prestigious institutes like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Allahabad, etc.

Going by a comparative analysis based on placements, UVCE will be better for the mechanical branch. Both the colleges are academically very good. The placements for the mechanical branch is UVCE is very good. The placement percentage is nearly 60-70%. The lowest salary offered is nearly INR 3.5LPA and the highest salary being offered is INR 39LPA. University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is a great college. Placements: In the year 2018, about 80-90% of the students got placed from branches like CSE, ISE and ECE. About 60-70% of the students got placed from core branches like mechanical and electrical. Hope it helps.

1. UVCE, Bengaluru-government college
2. NIE, Mysore- nice college, good campus
3. BIT, Bengaluru- nice college, no campus
I am alumni of BIT (201014) batch EEE branch. The college is nice but due to unavailability of campus, lacks enormously in other activities like organisations of seminars, conference, ted talks, robotics competition, etc. This affects our resume alot. I am alumni of RVCE (201517) batch, M.Tech, Power Electronics. It has a very nice campus which helps students to organise innumerable conference s, talks and technological which makes their resume attractive. But whatever college you take, make sure you choose branch of
