The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conduct the TNPSC Group 4 exam in offline mode at the designated exam centres across the state. The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission does not mention about the negative marking in the TNPSC Group 4 exam but as per the instructions mentioned in the official TNPSC Group 4 question paper, the Commission will deduct 5 marks in case the candidate do not write the Question Paper Booklet Number in the provided OMR sheet.

For marking the incorrect answer by the candidate, no marks will be deducted by the Commission. 

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is expected to conduct the TNPSC Group 4 Exam based on the exam syllabus mentioned in the official TNPSC Group 4 notification. As per the previous year TNPSC General Studies question paper, we can say tha the General Studies section includes topics such as:

• Geography
• History and Culture of India
• Indian Polity
• Indian Economy and Development Administration in Tamil Nadu
• Socio-political movements in Tamil Nadu

The TNPSC Group 4 exam 2026 will be conducted on December 20, 2026 as per the syllabus and exam pattern mentioned in the notification. The TNPSC Group 4 exam paper consist of 200 questions divided into three sections.

• Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test have 100 questions. 
• General Studies have 75 questions. 
• Aptitude and Mental Ability Test have 25 questions.
