It is better to book your TOEFL test at least 2 to 3 months before your university deadline. That gives enough time to get your TOEFL scores, which usually come in 4 to 8 days.

The TOEFL test is not free. You need to pay a registration fee to take it. However, there are free TOEFL practice tests available online to help you prepare.

Yes. Since your photo is taken and you are monitored live by a proctor, you must dress appropriately. Avoid caps, masks, or accessories that obstruct your face or ears.

Yes, but you must be alone in a private room during the entire test. Ensure you have a space where you can close the door, avoid interruptions, and show a 360° view of your surroundings to the proctor before the exam starts.

Yes. Both domestic and international debit/credit cards are accepted for payment. One should make sure that their payment card is enabled for international transactions and has sufficient balance for the registration fee of INR 16,900.

Candidates should first check the availability of test centres in their location. If test centres are not operational or you are more comfortable testing from home, you may opt for the TOEFL iBT Home Edition. Candidates juts have to make sure they have the system that meets ETS TOEFL requirements and your environment is secure for test monitoring.

Candidates have to bring the original passport on the IELTS test day. The passport should clearly show the name, photograph, and signature. A scanned image, photocopy, or digital version will not be accepted. The passport has to be valid and physical for entry to the exam hall.

No, an expired passport is not allowed for the IELTS exam. You must bring a valid passport on your test day. Even if you have other ID, it will not work. The passport should be unexpired to sit in the exam.

You cannot take TOEFL test in 2026. If name on your passport does not exactly match name you used to register. The staff will not allow you to enter the testing room at all. You will lose your entire fee.
