Here are some government approved tour and travel management courses offered by government:

  1. Central government institutes such as Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) which is approved by AICTE and NHMCT and provides courses like BBA MBA and even P.hD in tourism and travel management and National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Hyderabad whch is set up by the Telangana government and government of India 
  2. State government or public colleges also offers Diploma courses, undergraduate and post-graduate courses in tourism and travel management.

It depends on your profession, your contacts and financial status either in India or abroad. Travelling seems to be cheap everywhere if you use public transport services like bus, train, etc. but if you use taxis or rented car, etc. It will be costly.

Same goes for hotels and restaurants, there are cheap and costly everywhere. It depends on your requirements and your financial status.
