Candidates for UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) counselling are normally required to provide certain documents for verification and admission. These normally contain Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, Transfer Certificate (TC) or School Leaving Certificate (SLC), Character Certificate, Category Certificate (if applicable for reserved categories), Admit Card, and UGAT entrance exam scorecard. The UGAT counselling is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Candidates who have qualified for UGAT exam must register themselves online through the official website. However, the Personal Interview WAT/GD and document verification round under the counselling process is held offline at the designated helpline centres. Candidates who meet the UGAT cutoff, need to visit the centre for document verification as per their rank and other selection rounds such as PI and WAT. UGAT admit cards will be available online which the candidates can download. Candidates can use their login credentials I. e. username and date of birth for the UGAT admit card download. Students must carry a coloured print out of the UGAT admit card with a recent coloured passport size photography affixed to it to the exam centre in order to gain entry at the UGAT exam centre.

UGAT exam is held for 2 hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for UGAT exam. Candidates have to solve question paper in 120 minutes UGAT exam is conducted in morning shift. Also, there is no provision for changing exam slot.

Candidates will know their allotted UGAT exam centre only from the AIMA UGAT admit card. There is no way to know the test centre before the release of the UGAT admit card. The examination authority allots a test centre to aspirants in the city of their first preference as mentioned in the application form. So, candidates can atleast be assured that they will get a test centre in the city they had chosen as first preference in the UGAT application form.
