If the letter of approval is present, then the university or college is UGC approved. If you can't find the letter of approval then refer to the official website of University Grant Commission (UGC). Then check wether the particular college or university is recognized by it or not.

Hello,The CSIR NET and UGC NET exam are held for the selection of candidates for assistant professor and JRF in the national institutes of India, The Science stream candidates can apply for CSIR NET exam for life Science, Earth, mathematical, physical and chemical Science subjects. The recognition to above programmes is subject to the compliance of the following by the University. (I) The University may conduct Entrance examination for admission to MBA and MCA progianmes. (ii) The University will follow all the norms of DEC, AICTE and UGC for offering programmes through distance mode.

Yes, Presidency University, Karnataka is approved by AICTE and UGC. It has also been accredited with an A grade by NAAC.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for UGC NET exam. As per the NTA norms for UGC eligibility, the candidates need to follow the eligibility criteria as follows:Educational: The candidates must have completed the post-graduation degree with more than 55% marks from the UGC recognized university. Age limit: There is no age limit for NET lectureship, but for NET JRF the age must be below 30 years. The candidates are allowed to apply for there post-graduation subject.
