Hello Shalu, According to the UGC norms, the candidates who have completed the post graduation degree with more than 55% marks from recognised university can apply for the exam, The UGC NET exam is organized for the selection of candidates for assistant professor and JRF. The minimum eligibility is post graduation. There is no age limit for the lectureship but the candidates must be below 30 years for the JRF. The university that you have graduated from must be approved by UGC. The UGC has released a list of universities that are approved and eligible for NET exam.
