The acceptance rate at the University of California San Francisco is around 13%, hence making admissions to the university somewhat selective and competitive. On the other hand, the acceptance rate to the University of California San Diego is 24%, making admissions to the university slightly competitive and selective in comparison to the University of California San Francisco. Other eligibility criteria also need to be taken into consideration such as the English Language Proficiency Test Scores accepted by the universities. Both UCSF and UCSD accept IELTS scores obtained by the students.

The admission requirements for the UCSD Master of Finance program are given below:

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance / Economics / Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Physics or Statistics is required. Other majors are also considered
  • Post-university work, research experience or internships in a Quantitative discipline is also considered

  • An UG degree in a Quantitative discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science OR
