University of Duisburg-Essen Eligibility

For restricted-entry Master's programs at University Duisburg Essen, Indian students need a German grade equivalent GPA of 2.5 or more on a 4.0 scale. However, exact cutoffs can vary for different programme and some courses may ask for a better overall GPA.

Learning German (DSH-2 level or better) is mandatory only for those students who are planning to enroll in a German-taught course at UD Essen. Tests accepted at the university include TestDAF and telc C1.

For English-taught courses, students are free to submit either of the following documents/test scores:

• TOEFL
• Medium of Instruction (MOI)
