U Georgia was ranked the No. 1 college for best student life by Niche. The university's vibrant campus offers something for everyone, making sure that each student can find their place and make the most of their college experience, whether it is through student organizations, club sports and intramurals, Greek Life, etc. There are 9 men's varsity sports, 12 women's varsity sports, 22 intramural sports and 45 club sports at the university.

For international UG students, the University of Georgia has not mentioned GPA specifically. However, for the Class of 2028, the high-school GPA for admitted students is 4.05-4.33. To apply to the University of Georgia UG courses, the applicants are required to have the following:
- Academic transcripts from the graduating high school
- Application fee
- SAT / ACT scores (if applicable)
- Secondary School Report / Counsellor Recommendation
- Teacher / Other Letter of Recommendation
For admission to Graduate courses, the applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree. Check the minimum GPA course-wise from the university's official website.
