UGA has over 700 student organizations. A few of the student organizations specifically for international students are the Arab Cultural Association, Indian Student Association, Vietnamese Student Association, Nepalese Student Association, etc. Indian Student Association (ISA) particularly hosts several events that act as ice-breakers for new students. These events include India Night (the annual cultural extravaganza), India's Independence, Indian festivals, etc. This Association acts as a liaison between Indian students at UGA and the Indian, and international cultures including students, community, and faculty members.

The University of Georgia does not have a strict minimum GRE requirement for graduate applicants. However, students prefer to submit the score to add a positive factor to their resume.
