Lucknow University admissions for the majority of programs are based on scoring obtained in the prescribed entrance tests. The university accepts scores from exams like CUET and CUET-PG for the regular programs. Further, Engineering admissions are based on the basis of JEE Mains exam performance. LU admissions also involve lateral entry and direct admissions for NRI seats in the BTech and MCA programs. Furthermore, the UGPET test also provides admissions to students for courses like BCA, BCom, BBA, etc.

The university was established in 1920, and has over 550+ affiliated colleges and 15+institutes/centres. Lucknow University is recognised by UGC, AICTE, NCTE, BCI, among others, and offers more than 100 courses in both UG and PG fields. Notbale alumni at LU include Shankar Dayal Sharma, Suresh Raina, Arif Mohammad Khan and Harish Rawat.

Students should possess at least 60 per cent and 75 per cent attendance to be able to avail scholarships offered by Lucknow University. The family income must not be INR 3 Lacs every year. They should be undergoing regular or self financing courses and should not be having back papers. The students should also be free of unlawful activities.

Yes, the Lucknow University enables the students who are weak financially to get the scholarship through the Student Welfare Fund. There are two major schemes i.e. the Chhatra Kalyan Scholarship and the Karmyogi Scheme. Such scholarships assist the learners in low-income families continue with their study.

In the case of Lucknow University application form, formats in which a student is to upload a scanned photo and signature are JPEG. They will also require mark sheets and certificates of Class 10th and 12th, and a photo identifications and address proof like Aadhaar card. The application should be started with all documents at hand.

Lucknow University has direct admission into the vacant and NRI seats in some courses such as BTech and MCA. In most courses under consideration, admissions are strictly entrance-based. The candidates are required to meet the eligibility and procedure.

A minimum 40% of marks and (33%for SC&ST) shall be obtained in the entrance exam in order to get admission in LU. There is no special specification for girl students, all of them are required to get atleast 33% if belonging to SC, ST.
