To study at the University of Mannheim, it can be handy if you know German.
- For UG prorgams a C1 level of the language is important
- For Masters ones, it is not as important because most of these courses are taught in English.
And, it is suggested that the Indian students to have some level of familiarity with this language to survive in the German-speaking environment.

No, getting into the University of Mannheim can be considered really competitive as the acceptance rate is only 29%. This means that out of every 100 applications, the university offered admission to only 29 students.
Although, this university is very welcoming for international students as a big chunk of the total students present here are from different countries.

They check the validity the documents submitted like the degree, English language scorecard and a VPD is also possible via the uni-assist portal.
For UG courses, international students should apply via uni-assist portal and Masters students should apply through the official one.
