According to Graduate Outcome Survey, University of St. Andrews placement rate was 95% for UG graduates. This show 95% of UG graduates were either employed after graduation or pursued higher education.

The University of St Andrews has recently been ranked higher than the University of Oxford in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide and in terms of MBA programs the University of Oxford has a highly ranked business school while St Andrews on the other hand does not have a dedicated business school but offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in various fields.

Duration of PG courses at University of St Andrews can based on program and mode of study. Taught courses have duration of 1 year of full time study or 2 years of part time study while research PG programs can take longer to complete.
- For MS- 10 months-1 year
- For M.A.- 1 year-2 years

Yes students can apply for part time jobs while studying at St Andrews. University offers many part time job opportunities for Indian students such as- jobs on campus and in local community. Students can find part time jobs on websites such as- Indeed, Jooble or check university's job website which also has part time jobs. University also allows full time work to students during vacations to gain experience.

The St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship recipients are expected to act as ambassadors for the university by participating constructively in campus activities and promoting St. Andrews at various events.
