Yes, UTAS does offer scholarships to international students. The Tasmanian International Scholarship (TIS) is a popular one. This scholarship provides a 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for the duration of students' course. Also, note that there is no need to apply separately for this scholarship.

The University of Tasmania requirements for international students for Master of Technology and Systems are:

  • You are required to have an equivalent Australian bachelor's degree
  •  IELTS score 6.5 - no band less than 6

The 2024 international student fees for international students for the University of Tasmania Master of Information Technology and Systems course is AUD 77,228. This course cost is based on a rate of AUD 37,950 per standard, full-time year of study (100 credit points). This means this fee will be around INR 20 Lacs for first-year.

The UTAS acceptance rate is 75% as per to various unofficial sources which shows that the university is less selective when it comes to admissions. So, to take admission to this university, make sure to meet the entry requirements and apply as per the deadline. The basic requirement at the University of Tasmania is completion of 12th Year education for admission to bachelor's degree. Students must fulfill all the document and visa requirements while applying to the university. The University of Tasmania does not charge any application fee for the majority of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Students only need to pay the enrollment deposit after receiving an admission offer to confirm their seat at Tasmania Uni Australia.
