However, if your first language is not English, it is important to meet the English language requirements as well. You need to have an IELTS score with the specified minimum band to take admission. Normally, an IELTS score of 6.0 or above is accepted Moreover, if you are applying for a postgraduate degree course, then you need to have a Bachelor's degree with at least 55% (UK: 2:2) or 60% (UK: 2:1).

If you belong to a country where English is not the native language, then you need to provide proof of English language proficiency. Hence, you need to have an IELTS score to take admitted to the courses at Ulster University. Most of the courses at the university require a 6.0 band score. In addition to IELTS, the University accepts PTE Academic, TOEFL, Cambridge Advanced English, Cambridge IGCSE, Occupational English Test (OET), LanguageCert (only SELT), etc.
